A cold front over central China is gradually moving southward and is expected to cross the coastal areas of Guangdong around midnight tonight (17 November). Under the influence of the ensuing northeast monsoon, temperatures will drop significantly tomorrow (18 November), falling from a maximum of 23°C around midnight to around 15°C in urban areas tomorrow evening. Temperatures in the New Territories will be one to two degrees lower.
位於華中的一道冷鋒正逐漸向南移動，預料會在今晚（11月17日）午夜前後橫過廣東沿岸。受隨後東北季候風影響，明天（11月18日）氣溫將顯著轉涼，由午夜最高23度逐步下降至明晚市區約15度，新界地區再低一兩度。
At the same time, under the influence of a broad cloud band, it will be cloudy with one or two patches of light rain on Tuesday (18 November). The minimum temperature in urban areas is forecast to be around 14°C on Wednesday (19 November) and Thursday (20 November), with some areas experiencing cold conditions. Due to relatively strong winds, the wind chill effect will be more noticeable.
同時，受到一道廣闊雲帶影響，預測明天（11月18日，星期二）將多雲及有一兩陣微雨。星期三（11月19日）及星期四（11月20日）市區最低氣溫約14度，部分地區寒冷。由於風勢頗大，風寒效應會比較明顯。
The Observatory predicts that the broad cloud band will thin out in the latter part of the week (from 21 November onwards), while the northeast monsoon will gradually moderate. The weather will improve, and temperatures will gradually rise, though mornings will remain cool.
天文台預料，廣闊雲帶在本周後期（11月21日起）將轉薄，同時東北季候風亦會逐漸緩和。天色會好轉，氣溫將逐步回升，但早上天氣仍然清涼。
Acting Assistant Director Ms. Tse Suk-mui reminded the public to prepare appropriate measures to keep warm.

Ms. Tse also stated that, based on preliminary analysis by the Observatory and climate model forecasts from around the world, there is a higher probability of normal to above-normal temperatures in South China this winter (December 2025 – February 2026). The Observatory predicts that Hong Kong’s winter temperatures will be normal to above normal, but occasional cold spells may occur. The number of cold weather days this winter is expected to be close to normal, approximately 9 to 17 days.
謝淑媚又表示，根據天文台初步分析及世界各地氣候模式的預報，今年冬季（2025年12月至2026年2月）華南地區溫度正常至偏高的機會較高。天文台預測，今年冬季香港氣溫屬正常至偏高，但間中可能出現寒冷天氣。預計今個冬季寒冷天氣日數接近正常，約為9至17天。
