Termatrac T3i

Termatrac T3i

The Worlds No. 1 Termite Detector

The only tool required to Detect, Confirm and Track the presence of termites.

The Termatrac T3i has revolutionized the practice of professional termite detection by combining the three critical technologies required to competently and efficiently detect, locate and confirm the presence of termites:

1. Termatrac's latest patented Termite Detection Radar
2. Advanced Remote Thermal Sensor with Laser Guide
3. Advanced Moisture Sensor

iso.jpgThe 3-in-1 functionality makes the Termatrac T3i the best available tool for Pest Management and Building Inspection Professionals. Termite risk areas are easily identified using the Remote Thermal Sensor with Laser Guide and/or the built in Moisture Sensor. Termatrac's patented Termite Detection Radar is then used to accurately detect, confirm and track the presence of termites, plus precisely locate nests, mud-leads, and entry points to ensure a cost-efficient and effective treatment can be applied to only the areas required.

The Termatrac T3i sensor unit uses Bluetooth technology to transmit reading data to a handheld display unit. The display unit shipped with the product is an Android phone, but could also be an Android tablet.

Another great benefit delivered by the wireless technology is the T3i unit can be placed in extremely confined areas while being monitored on the PDA from a comfortable position up to 20 metres or more away.

As a compact and robust hand-held unit that can be secured safely on a pest professional's tool belt, the T3i is extremely easy and comfortable to carry around at all times, even in tight confined spaces.

The T3i is delivered in a rugged, waterproof carry case. The picture below shows what else is included in the box.

The Termatrac T3i has 2 components: the SENSOR device and the DISPLAY device.

The SENSOR device contains the RADAR, MOISTURE and THERMAL sensors.

The DISPLAY device is used to control the sensors, view the scan results in real time and save scans for later analysis and reporting. It can be any name brand Android phone or tablet. Termatrac ships a Samsung phone in the box but allows customers to use their own devices for a small reduction in price.

The two components communicate using Bluetooth.

The Termatrac T3i incorporates a Moisture Sensor and aThermal Sensor to enable the operator to easily identify Risk Areas for subterranean termites.

Once a Termite Risk Area is identified using the sensors or other means, the Termite Detection Radar built into the device is then used to detect a confirm actual presence of termites and track the locations of nests, leads, and entry points.

Nearly all pests, termites and other common wood destroying organisms need moisture and high humidity to survive and multiply, thus they will seek such locations to inhabit. The Moisture Sensor function built into the Termatrac T3i enables the operator to easily identify areas of excess moisture as a possible risk area for termites. All the operator needs to do is scan the surface area (such as a wall) with the T3i, which will present a moisture reading on the PDA device enabling the identification of Termite Risk Areas.

Additionally, congregations of termites will generate heat and humidity. The Remote Thermal Sensor with Laser Guide built into the T3i hand held unit detects termite risk areas by identifying areas of increased heat and humidity in building structures. The operator just stands back and scans the building structure by pointing the hand-held T3i unit at the relevant building structures, of which the temperature readings on the PDA device will allow the operator to determine high risk areas.

Upon identifying a termite risk area using the Moisture Sensor and/or Thermal Sensor, the operator then presses one button on the T3i to switch over to Radar mode. The operator places the T3i unit against the suspect surface area for the Termite Detection Radar to detect the movement of termites. A bar graph on the PDA will display the detection and activity level of any termites present.

Once a positive reading with the Termite Detection Radar has been established, termite activity can be tracked to locate entry points and nests. The tracking procedure on the Termatrac Termite Detection Radar shows the Technician the extent of the activity and the direction from which the termites travelled to get a particular point. Not only will this method enable the trained Technician to locate internal termite nests, the trained operator will be able to follow termite leads to locate the entry point of termite infestation. The Technician will then be well on the way to establishing where the main nest is outside the building.
